Our Manufacturing Process 

We custom manufacture tiles using a custom designed, advanced computer controlled, high temperature kiln firing process to transfer a high-resolution digital image onto ceramic. The process is environmentally-friendly and non-toxic and delivers high standards of quality, superb clarity, and extra durability thanks to being fired at temperatures of 1650 °F, 900 °C, making our specialty tiles ideal for everything from large wall murals to Talavera tile murals to floor tile murals.

Image Quality

The way we create images on tile is superior to other custom tile manufacturers who use a dye sublimation process. Dye sublimation is a process carried out at much lower temperatures to our kiln-fired process, usually around 400 °F. Effectively the dye is impregnated into the surface of the tile which makes it susceptible to fading as well as being unable to resist chemicals and graffiti.

Because we create artwork on tile by using extreme heat to fuse and bond the image to the ceramic, our tiles:

• Will never fade and are UV resistant

• Resistant to scratches

• Resistant to chemicals

• Resistant to extremes of temperature (both hot and cold)

• Resistant to graffiti

• Resistant to wear and tear from foot traffic

• Unlike sublimated tiles, our specialty tiles are waterproof and can be used for pool murals.

Custom Tile Murals

The singular use of our product is tile murals for advertising and commercial purposes and for decorative purposes in residential and commercial premises. We can install murals on tile in many forms from outdoor tile murals to religious tile murals. The quality of image makes your tile mural stand out and be a feature that lasts for many years.

Mural Design and Installation

If you have ever ordered a commercial print job, ordering one of our ceramic tile murals is a very similar process, just using tiles instead of paper or other materials. You will decide on the basics first such as, the location where you want a tile mural installation, the size, and the type of image. You should also decide on the size of tile that will best suit your chosen image. Once you provide this along with an idea of what the finished artwork will look like, we can provide a proposal and competitive quote. Upon acceptance of the quote, we will proceed to produce a digital proof from the artwork you provide. The higher the quality of the artwork you provide, the higher the quality of the images on tile. The digital proof enables you to see where the grout lines will appear and to make changes to tile size for a better overall look. We can also provide proofs of finished kiln-fired tiles featuring parts of your image if requested. Once you sign off the proof, we manufacture your tile mural.

Important note about copyright

We abide by the United States law on copyright, but the onus is on you, the customer, to ensure that the copyright is satisfied for the images you provide to us to make ceramic tile murals.

We make installation as easy as possible by numbering the tiles with a row and column number than corresponds to an installation map.

Warranty

All our custom tile murals are covered by a lifetime warranty against fading, along with a limited warranty for support materials. The support material, which includes the tiles themselves, are manufactured in accordance with national and international industry standards ISO 13006, ISO 10545, ANSI 10545 and ANSI Specifications A 137.1-1988

After Installation Care

The custom tiles we use in our murals are of the highest quality porcelain and with or without an image, they are impervious to fluctuating weather conditions, chemical damage, and scratching. Thanks to our extreme high temperature kiln-firing process the image will not crack, peel or fade so your beautiful, eye-catching tile mural will look as good many years later as the day it was first installed.
